This was the last Premio Biella per l’incisione, an international exhibition of prints held in the city of Biella, Italy, on a biennial or triennial basis. The theme of the exhibition, selected by Jeremy Lewison, highlighted the political and social ethos that informed art at this time. This exhibition of contemporary prints included the work of a wide range of international artists including Miroslaw Balka, Christiane Baumgartner, Carole Benzaken, Sophie Calle, Enrique Chagoya, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Olafur Eliasson, Walton Ford, Günther Förg, Joseph Grigely, Richard Hamilton, Mona Hatoum, Yun-Fei Ji, William Kentridge, Sovann Kim, Per Kirkeby, Guilermo Kuitca, Michael Landy, Goshka Macuga, Julie Mehretu, Olaf Nicolai, Gabriel Orozco, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Kiki Smith, Tal R, Richard Tuttle, Rachel Whiteread, and Terry Winters.
