What Makes Good Art?

Two New Alice Neel Exhibitions

An exhibition of drawings by Alice Neel is on view at David Zwirner, New York until 18 April 2015. Adapted from the recent exhibition at Nordiska Akvarellmuseet, the show surveys Neel’s drawings and watercolours from 1927 to 1978 and is accompanied by a catalogue with essays by Jeremy Lewison and Claire Messud.

Simultaneously the first ever Alice Neel exhibition in Belgium is showing at Xavier Hufkens in Brussels where a range of paintings and drawings are on view. Both shows were selected by Jeremy Lewison. The Hufkens exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue with an essay by Elisabeth Lebovici.
